A rope may seem slightly weaker than, for example, wicker. Yet, the raw materials for these materials are almost identical. Olefin Cushions
Olefin cushions feel comfortable, almost like the sofa or chairs you have indoors. This is because almost all our cushions have a cushion cover made of 'Olefin' fabric. This fabric has many unique properties. The raw material for making olefin is oil. The dye is added early on to ensure it is present in the core. This makes the fabric colorfast, UV-resistant, and water-repellent. Olefin is also used, for example, in technical sportswear and in the automotive industry.
Maintenance of olefin cushions
You don't need to chemically treat or maintain our weather-resistant cushions. However, it is important to keep your garden cushions clean. Prevent rotting leaves from damaging the fabric, or prevent nasty stains caused by bird droppings. Garden furniture is meant to be enjoyed all four seasons, but not without having to look after it.
